Crunch for a Cause uses personal information only where it is needed to run the store, process and deliver orders, respond to customers, keep the website secure and meet reasonable legal and accounting requirements.

What information we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery details, order information and anything you choose to send us. The website may also receive basic technical information needed for security and normal website operation.

Why we use it

We use your information to manage your basket and checkout, process and fulfil orders, communicate with you about an order, arrange PUDO or other agreed delivery, provide support, prevent misuse and keep records that the business reasonably needs. Marketing messages are only sent where you have chosen to receive them, and you can unsubscribe.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only where needed to operate the store or complete your order, for example WooCommerce/WordPress hosting and payment services, The Courier Guy or PUDO for delivery, and professional or legal advisers where reasonably necessary.

Cookies

Essential cookies and similar technologies may be used so that the basket, checkout, account, security and website preferences work correctly. Any optional analytics or marketing tools should be used only where they are enabled on the site and permitted by your choices.

How long we keep information

We do not intend to keep personal information longer than reasonably necessary. Some order and transaction records may need to be retained for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute or other legal purposes even after other personal information has been removed.

Access, correction and removal from our database

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request that personal information be deleted or anonymised from the WordPress/WooCommerce database where we are legally able to do so. To make a request, email info@crunchforacause.co.za with enough information for us to identify the relevant account or order. We may need to verify that the request is genuinely yours before making changes.

Where information must still be kept for a lawful business, tax, accounting or legal reason, we may retain the minimum required record rather than delete it immediately. We will explain this if it applies to your request.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information used by the store and limit access to people and service providers who need it. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
